Cloakrooms was started in 1991 to manufacture a small range of cloakroom furnishings and fittings to traditional designs.
Over the intervening years, as the business has grown, the range has been steadily expanded and now incorporates many innovative designs developed in our own workshops on the Nottingham / Derbyshire border, between Sherwood Forest and the Derbyshire Dales.
Special attention has always been given to careful selection of the best materials for the job. These include European Pine, finished in a traditional stain and coated with a hard-wearing semi-matt lacquer, and Natural Oak with an oil finish.
We are committed to using only materials from sustainable sources - "managed forests".
Although our working methods are firmly based on traditional woodworking techniques - we do have at our disposal a very modern and up-to-date woodworking and wood finishing facility including
C.N.C. and automatic machinery, many of the designs do require an enormous amount of hand work to achieve the high standards that you would expect from a true English manufacturer. "Proudly made in England ... the best!"
Some of our woodwork is "hot iron branded" so as to identify it as a genuine Cloakroom product, "a brand to be proud of".
All our wall mounted items are supplied complete with solid brass fixing screws.
Cloakrooms are always willing to quote for designs which are modified to suit customer requirements.
